Xion's Miniature Australian Shepherds

My partner Stewart and I live in Carrickfergus Northern Ireland with our four dogs Naiobi, Boxer cross rescue, Neo, working sheepdog, and Trinity our Miniature Australian Shepherd and now her beautiful offspring Zee.

I have always loved the Australian Shepherd breed and was looking for a third dog as one is never enough! I knew an Australian Shepherd would be too big with already having two big dogs and so I looked into the idea of a Miniature Australian Shepherd as there is pretty much miniature everything else!

I found that there was such a thing as a Miniature Aussie and in fact there was one in England already, I contacted Jessica Steward of Dunnellons Mniature Aussies and she explained to me the process it took to get Rizzo into this country from America. I knew I wanted this breed more than anything and so my partner and I decided to look into importing an aussie from America. My gratitude goes out to Jessica for all her help without her advice Trinity may never have came.

I began looking for pups online from America and stumbled across Kim Gardiners site of Teacup Treasures Mini Aussies. Kim had a litter of pups available and we enquired whether or not Kim would be willing to keep Trinity till she could get her a pet passport to come to UK without being quarantined. Kim was happy to oblige and together we organised the next 10mths of Trinity's life till we could get her to the UK.

Kim was very good and sent me pictures every Wednesday without fail and I was very grateful as it was almost as good as seeing her growing up in person. I watched her grow in to a beautiful young dog with the help of Kim and it helped make the wait easier for me.

Trinity arrived and although very nervous began to accept us immediately. It was love at first sight for myself and my partner and we knew that all the wait and expense was worth it as we had a wonderful dog. She settled in well and found her place in the ranking with my other two and absolutely loves life in her new home.

We both agree we couldn't imagine life without Trinity now as she is such a delight to have and so loving and attentive and between her wiggly bum and her gorgeous eyes she won us over instantly. We absolutely adore her the Australian Shepherds are truly a wonderful breed.

After a year of planning and a trip to Germany I am very proud to say we have six beautiful puppies, it has been alot of hard work and stress but the result more than makes up for it. Visit them here
